Avian Flu: And You Thought Ebola Was Bad

This entry is part 1 of 8 in the series Roundtable Discussions

#OpNAMFS: Foreclosurepedia keeps the pulse on many issues such as the recent flood of hedge funds into disaster response with the upcoming hurricane season — they hit the front and back end making the insurance industry a bit wary — as well as bio and molecular diversity. One of the biggest issues impacting Labor today is the simple fact that there is zero transparency with respect to the work order process when it finally arrives in the hands of the Boots on the Ground personnel — read Labor as opposed to Management.

Kicking to the curb all of the rhetorical problems encountered with an asset such as Occupancy, Structural Integrity; et cetera ad nauseum, the fact of the matter is that many of the properties being entered by Labor are biohazard zones.

Forelcosurepedia, for years, has advocated for discussions between Labor and Management; for the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) to begin a dialogue with the K Street Boys in the Beltway for lobbying to protect Labor as opposed to protecting the bottom line.

We spoke today with Isaac Ike Randolph, Communications Director for the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) with respect for a novel program ongoing at IDOC. With respect to the fact that Avian Flu is one of the most serious biological problems on the radar with respect to epidemiology today, it was great to hear that at least one of the Departments of Corrections in the United States was implementing a strategy to utilize offenders for more than simply doing time.

Randolph released to Foreclosurepedia the below stating, Per our conversation here’s the blurb we reported on our internal publication,

On Friday, May 22, 2015, Edinburgh Correctional Facility partnered with State of Indiana Board of Animal Health to train 51 offenders and four staff members on managing a crisis of Avian Bird Flu.  Avian influenza is an infection caused by avian (bird) influenza (flu) A viruses. These influenza A viruses occur naturally among birds.

Wild birds worldwide get Avian Bird flu infections in their intestines, but usually do not get sick from the infections. However, avian influenza is very contagious among birds and some of these viruses can make certain domesticated bird species, including chickens, ducks, and turkeys, very sick and kill them.  Staff and offenders were trained on euthanizing large populations of fowl if Indiana were to experience an outbreak.

The risk from avian influenza is generally low to most people, because the viruses do not usually infect humans. However, confirmed cases of human infection from several subtypes of avian influenza infection have been reported since 1997.

As an interesting sidebar, Reuters published a significantly higher number in their article about the same subject. It stated, in pertinent part, Indiana is training 300 prisoners to kill infected chickens as the lead set of words. We contacted the New York Reuters Newsroom for clarification and later spoke with the author, P.J. Huffstutter. Huffstutter was kind enough to call us, while on vacation; however, she advised she would look further into the matter. At the time Huffstutter’s article was released, the article reflected that which IDOC and the Indiana Department of Agriculture had states were their goals. In fairness, the fact of the matter is that numbers are something which may continually be evolving. We will clarify later, as we are advised.

Regardless of the number of people involved, the fact of the matter is that if both state and federal officials are taking the threat of pandemic seriously, perhaps we ought to be having discussions within the Mortgage Field Services Industry about the same.

There are several benchmarks I use to keep track of threat assessments on the radar. One is a Global Real Time Threat Assessment Map I have embedded on Foreclosurepedia for several years. When you pan in on the United States and click one of the birds you are going to come to realize that it is a dangerous world when you get Away From The Keyboard. Additionally, I am a contributor over on the Flu Trackers Forum, from time-to-time. The days of H1N1 are long gone, folks. Finally, I contribute over on Google as a Developer on a plethora of code platforms vis-a-vis Summer of Code projects. One of the best projects Google ever rolled out, with respect to the world of immunomedicine, is the Google Flu Trends.

Curious how avian flu is impacting the United States? Glad you asked. Eggs have skyrocketed over the past several weeks — eighty percent plus or minus depending upon wholesale or retail. There are currently outbreaks are in 15 states and two Canadian provinces as I type. The fact of the matter is that the United States is dangerously ill equipped to handle the matter.

Washington (AFP) – US farmers have been forced to kill almost 40 million chickens and other birds, causing egg prices to soar as a deadly version of the avian flu attacks the poultry industry.

After the State of Iowa declared a State of Emergency over the avian flu issue, Foreclosurepedia reached out and spoke to Dustin Vande Hoef, the Communications Director for the State of Iowa’s Department of Agriculture. It is obvious that Iowa, as well, is taking avian flu seriously as documented below,

DES MOINES – The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship is responding to a probable case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Pocahontas County.  With this new announcement, Iowa now has 64 cases of the disease in the state. The Department has quarantined the premise and once the presence of the disease is confirmed, all birds on the property will be humanely euthanized to prevent the spread of the disease.

The Foreclosurepedia Nation has long known that the properties we are entering, on a daily basis, are a warzone. As a veteran whom worked in the intelligence community, I am thoroughly surprised that we are not including language such as WEAR DISPOSABLE RESPIRATOR UPON ENTRY TO PROPERTY — an example is the 3M N95 and I get no money for suggesting it. I am not a doctor nor am I giving medical advice; however, it is common sense that breathing is a pretty basic requirement for life. So, do your due diligence and determine what level of particle prevention you need or and here is a REALLY NOVEL concept, ask your Vendor Manager! Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be mandatory and not an afterthought!

Personal protective equipment (PPE) refers to protective clothing, helmets, goggles, or other garments or equipment designed to protect the wearer’s body from injury or infection. The hazards addressed by protective equipment include physical, electrical, heat, chemicals, biohazards, and airborne particulate matter.

Most of the Foreclosurepedia Nation knows I keep my hands in a lot of baskets — no avian pun intended. I went to the extreme to track down officials at IDOC because I think it is newsworthy to note that which they are involved in. When most people think of the Corrections Environment they generally think about what the late Paul Harvey or Mark Twain had to say; they believe that Corrections is simply a warehousing program. IDOC  is proving that opinions are just that, opinions.

Today, in Indiana, there is both forward thinking and the implementation of common sense. We are confronting global issues which have no relation to nor respect for municipal, county, state or national boundaries. Inevitably, these are issues Labor must confront on a daily basis — without any advice from Management. So, while on the one hand, Management has micromanaged Labor to the point of being an employee for taxation and liability purposes, the reality is that Management, itself, is light years away from even understanding the dynamically shifting world the Industry currently finds itself in.

Prima facie, IDOC deserves a pat on the back by its citizens. At the end of the day seeing government work for the people is never a bad thing! Foreclosurepedia will actually follow up with Randolph and IDOC Public Information Officer (PIO) Bryan Dobbs whom is at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility (ECF) later this week. Dobbs is the media liaison with respect to the avian flu training there.

For two decades now, the Mortgage Field Services Industry has refused to allow Labor to even use the word mold — Labor is ordered to use the term discoloration. In fact, even when Management uses the term, people like Jay Goscinski completely calls into question the veracity of such as documented by his criminal actions wherein he forged mold documents on behalf of foreign national provider Altisource. The Foreclosurepedia Nation is well aware of the fact that Eric Miller, Executive Director of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) refused to allow for Ethics Investigations to go forward and Altisource’s then Associate General Counsel Robert Bridges sat on his hands while American citizens were placed in jeopardy of loosing their lives.

NAMFS, as a trade association, has an abysmal track record addressing the millions of dollars in fraud which NAMFS Offender Members perpetuate upon Labor yearly. Teetering on financial insolvency due in no small part to the results of Foreclosurepedia’s Investigative Journalism techniques, NAMFS has begun to hemorrhage membership. Our reporting upon the fact that financial fraud has permeated the highest levels of the NAMFS Regime forced the resignation of Heather Berghorst whom is the former and disgraced NAMFS Secretary. Berghorst filed her second bankruptcy while the Secretary of NAMFS while simultaneously defrauding Labor out of well over a million dollars. Court ordered by a federal judge in Michigan to begin repaying one Member of Labor already, Fifth Third Bank began litigation against Berghorst for Willful and Malicious Injury addressing the shell game Berghorst created to bury her ill gotten gains from Labor and hide them from those she owed money to.

David Dolan is rumored to have resigned his position as NAFMS Membership Chairman in order to avoid having to initiate Ethics Investigations against Joe Hummel, yet another NAMFS Offender Member working at Integrated Solutions (IS) — IS owes hundreds of thousand of dollars dating back to January, 2015, according to recent reports from Labor. Hummel was convicted of financial crimes in Texas involving the creation of a fraudulent Invoicing System and is currently seated on both the NAMFS Membership and Financial Committees. SEAS LLC, another NAMFS Offender Member in good standing, is currently under felony investigation for sending a $10,000 bad check to pay on nearly a million dollars defrauded from Labor using federal funds. Adam and Amanda Buczek, owners of Buczek Enterprises and a legacy NAMFS entity defrauded more than a million dollars from Labor. To date, Foreclosurepedia has documented tens of millions of dollars in fraud by NAMFS Regime Offender Members using federal funds.

To date, not a single drive by media outlet has been willing to take on the NAMFS Kingpin Eric Miller whom receives OVER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS PER YEAR, CONSUMING OVER SEVENTY PERCENT OF ALL NAMFS MEMBER DUES. As an IRS non profit 501(c)(6), this ranks up with Elizabeth Dole and her fleecing of the Red Cross a decade ago. More on point, Foreclosurepedia was forced to file an IRS 13909 Complaint demanding the NAMFS IRS Income Tax Form 990 which was to be publicly available. Only after order from IRS did Miller release it and we anticipate the same this year.

Foreclosurepedia recently reported upon the unsealing of a $100 Million Qui Tam against both US Bank and Joe Badalamenti’s Five Brothers for similar behavior against US Taxpayers by and through False Claims Act allegations. As early as 2013, Foreclosurepedia had broken the story and in fact had a copy of the Qui Tam long before the US Attorney General’s Office itself. Where were Ben Hallman, Huffington Post, whom gladly hung Labor out to dry in his pro banking articles or Priya Anand over at Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch, both of whom received the info from Foreclosurepedia directly? Both were doing what the Drive By Media does best which is turning blind eyes in order not to piss off their advertising sponsors — pathetic, really and speaks volumes on the fact that they are not investigative journalists.

Even though Eric Miller abused his power as NAMFS Executive Director in attempting to have Foreclosurepedia sued in a calculated manner to infringe upon our First Amendment rights, the march continues. Never in the history of the Free World has such an obscene display of oligarch ambition been displayed. In a quintessential ponzi scheme setting, Eric Miller has spearheaded the largest cover up of financial fraud, utilizing federal funds, in recent memory. The outrages of both the American Public and the Labor Sector are beginning to now appear on the radar. Realizing that there will be no civil conclusion; realizing that neither Eric Miller nor his hand maiden Adriana Farelo-Fernandez, NAMFS Vice President, will ever allow for Ethics Investigations, the language being used on Social Media is pretty indicative of the fact that the pitchforks are coming as described by Nick Hanauer, a self described zillionare, on Politico.

Hanauer had this to say,

The most ironic thing about rising inequality is how completely unnecessary and self-defeating it is. If we do something about it, if we adjust our policies in the way that, say, Franklin D. Roosevelt did during the Great Depression—so that we help the 99 percent and preempt the revolutionaries and crazies, the ones with the pitchforks—that will be the best thing possible for us rich folks, too. It’s not just that we’ll escape with our lives; it’s that we’ll most certainly get even richer.

In closing, whether it is asbestos, mold, avian flu or simply household chemicals left over from a meth lab, our Industry needs to begin to have a conversation about PPE and its appropriate application in our Industry. This week’s Foreclosurepedia Podcast will get in depth with members of both Management and Labor with respect to PPE. If you would like to be a guest on the roundtable discussion, feel free to reach out today! There is one salient point to understand: Whether it be by prison or by social ostracization percolated by Foreclosurepedia, change is coming. For people like Eric Miller, the reality is he will be brought down; his sloven lifestyle financed by the defraument of labor — remember the monies which dozens of NAMFS Regime Offender Members have illegally obtained pay for their NAMFS Membership Dues which, in turn, pays for Miller’s salary. And with respect to David Dolan? Foreclosurepedia is going to mop Social Media with his name to prove a point — a point which Miller created.
