Safeguard Properties: Bringing The Fraud Back Home To Ohio

Safeguard Properties (SGP) is in a world of shit in its own backyard as is being reported by ABC 6 News. Phil Guinaldo, a Canton, OH, resident, returned home to find his basement flooded due to the power to his sump pump turned off, his locks had been changed and his home winterized by SGP Contractors — Hacks is what they are. Guinaldo had not only renegotiated his mortgage with his bank, but had also called SGP and informed them, as well. Michael Cole had everything he owed stolen by SGP Contractors and the Ohio Attorney General states that there are dozens of Complaints and a plethora of litigation pending against SGP in Ohio alone.

COLUMBUS (Brooks Jarosz) – Imagine coming home to find your place ransacked and the locks changed and then you find out it was actually a legitimate Ohio company.

ABC 6 Investigators looked at the long list of homeowners left out and locked out. Our investigation uncovered hundreds of complaints and lawsuits accusing Safeguard Properties of critical mistakes.

We found more than 150 federal lawsuits filed against Safeguard Properties in 32 states. In Illinois, 200 complaints sparked the state’s attorney general to take action. However, Safeguard filed a motion to get it dismissed calling it “wrong on the facts” and “wrong on the law.” That case is ongoing.

Mark my words on this: At some point in time, whether it be homeowners or Members of Labor whom have had their fill of SGP and the rest of the Offender Members of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Regime, there is going to be a body count. Make no mistake on that whatsoever. I mean you can only fuck people for so long before someone goes Postal. Whether it is right or wrong is immaterial. As both the judiciary and law enforcement continue to turn blind eyes, the days are numbered wherein these atrocities will continue unaddressed.

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
