Hurricane Hillary is now a Category 1 storm and barrelling down on San Diego. As it begins its leeward climb along the Sierra Nevada mountain ran up through Las Vegas and northward from there. It is a once in a 100 years storm bringing over a year’s worth of rain over a 48 hour period of time. Our prayers are with the families whom are preparing for the battles of their lifetime.
The above photo was taken from the National Weather Service on 20 August 2023 at 0953 EDT. And in a desert setting where rain rarely falls, this is a critically dangerous event. Couple this with the fact that any rain means flooding into almost all assets, distressed or otherwise, Contractors need to figure out whether they want to perform the typical $5 inspections spit out or if they want International Association of Field Service Technicians (IAFST) guaranteed pricing. And the key note here is that there is going to be far more insurance claim inspections than the garbage foreclosure inspections.
