Ohio has always been the epicenter of everything shady. The National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) is in Ohio. Safeguard Properties is in Ohio. Northern Ohio Field Services is in, well, Ohio. And now, joining the ranks of of the down and out is a white, male owned inspection outfit whom seems to have it out for women in the Industry. I mean there is no other way to describe it. A white male business owner rolls up to your house as a single female, getting out of an UberX with shades on in Las Vegas, rolling his nose up in the air to meet for a potential onboarding. Promises made, handshakes performed — It was a meeting of Trumpian proportions! The Art of the Deal was alive and well on that fateful day and all the cards were stacked against her. And while normally I write based on interviews and affidavits, I was actually present at this meeting. Four years ago. And nothing since. And then yet another promise, two years ago. And nothing since.
With the smoothness that only an Ohioan could muster up after a decade under the tutelage of Robert Klein, in person, as a former Safeguard Properties Vendor Manager,
the dye was cast long before Whitey’s plane wheels hit the tarmac. Whitey was on a Mission to Defraud with the meeting comping the vacation on the line item tax return that year. With three exceptions, the hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud in the Mortgage Field Services Industry has been orchestrated by the hands of white males. The stats don’t lie. And their membership, to the last, was in the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS). The struggle is real and Foreclosurepedia feels your collective pain! The reality is that the predatory environment laid down by Whitey in this Industry is bad for everyone, not just females. And it is becoming more and more targeted with a sophisticated approach utilizing Artificial Intelligence.
Candidly, the Prime Vendors are not to blame here. Whether it be how middlemen and women sell out their networks to GIS Field Services and Jonathan Dietz, only to find out later their Labor has been raided, the reality is that there is no unringing that bell. Greed is back, en vogue, and it never ends up well for the middlemen and women.
