Hazard Communication Standard: Is Your MSDS Up To Par?

Recently, the US Department of Labor (DoL), by and through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) revised their Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) with respect to the Mandatory Notifications to Employees by and through the Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS) amongst other things.  HCS 1994 has now been revised to HCS 2012.

From OSHA,

“OSHA’s 1983 Hazard Communication Standard gave workers the right to know. As one participant expressed during our rulemaking process, this update will give them the right to understand, as well,” said Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health Dr. David Michaels.

National, Regional, Otherwise Unspecified Order Mills and Contractors would be wise to study both this Notification as well as the MSDS Requirements at large.  For those Contractors either not currently equipped with an HCS/MSDS System and/or in need of an overall Evaluation from Top to Bottom, feel free to reach out to Foreclosurepedia to day for a Consultation!
