One of the big separations between businesses whom flourish and fail is the ability to embrace technology. Recently, we met up with a broker in the field and were asked what the terms of payment were. We stated that we took check, cash or credit card. That really impressed her.
“You can take a credit card here in the field?” she asked. “Yes ma’am. We are equipped to take credit card or bank draft here,” I replied. This actually made the sale as we were able to stream the Invoice and Receipt directly to her iPhone from our Android in miliseconds.
There are a few big players out there allowing smartphone users to process credit cards. Square happens to be the one that we use. How it works is that the Provider will take either a fixed amount each month or a minimal percentage (2.75% as of the time of this Post). Not only does this allow for someone to get the immediate rewards of their work, it creates a professional appearance!
