Altisource, a National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Regime Member just cannot seem to get its Foreign National shit together. In a page out of the Caste System in India, Altisource has allowed Contractors to shoulder the burden of their fuck ups for over a year now. Time and time again their selection of NAMFS Regime Order Mills instead of law abiding American Contractors ends up in disaster. As many remember, Altisource provided Reference Letters on behalf of Jay Goscinski, owner of Michigan Realty Solutions LLC. At the time, we forwarded an inordinate amount of information to Altisource Associate General Counsel, documenting the troubling past of Goscinski.
Altisource did nothing to publicly address the allegations that they allegedly never provided Reference Letters let alone the allegations of fraud. At least Contractors could have made educated decisions whether or not to work for Cheap Suit Jay. The situation was so dire that even the NAMFS Regime Board of Directors were brought into the fray. Their position was that, “There is no documentation [of no pay],” obviously attempting to discredit Foreclosurepedia. Now, in identical circumstances, disgraced former NAMFS Regime Secretary Heather Berghorst was protected by Eric Miller and the rest of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Regime. Her SECOND BANKRUPTCY still has not spurred Miller to remove her as a NAMFS Regime Member in Good Standing nor redact her from the NAMFS Regime Fraud Fest 2014 in Orlando, Florida, this September.
It should also be noted that Altisource was also Berghorst’s paymaster vis-a-vis Work Orders and knew as early as November, 2013, that Berghorst was potentially insolvent. Remember, Heritage Home Solutions ceased to exist in 2013 because that is important! Altisourcehad to of known about her previous bankruptcy or they failed to comply with their own due diligence requirements — or perhaps there was a NAMFS Regime deal?! I don’t know — yet. As if that wasn’t good enough, Altisource then turned right around and became paymaster to her Heritage Home Solutions, a Company which ceased to exist in October, 2013, and began sending yet more work to her under this new name. Who paid the price for Altisource not performing due diligence? Why, the Contractors silly! 😉
Altisource does its BEST to ensure that law abiding Contractors never work for them
We were inundated this evening with a landslide of emails, primarily addressing the National Field Network scandal that Chris Crandell denies and instead parades out a False Flag Operation supported by a 3 Page Memo. We will deal with NFN and their new Assurant Field Asset Services (AFAS) collaboration in a separate article. We want to stay focused on the fact that Altisource has gone beyond the subtle to the outright blatant contempt for the rule of law in the United States in my humble opinion. No two ways around it. The fraud which we have witnessed in EPIC PROPORTIONS underneath the mantle of Altisource‘s hiring of NAMFS Regime Order Mills makes Satan himself blush — if you buy into the religious flavors. I am sure there is some type of advertising claim I will be able to conjure up, given enough time, but hell I am all booked up on crazy these days. Yeah, Altisource is all Back of the Bus and shit on this one and their NAMFS Regime Puppets are looking skittish. Everyone knows I am going to land the Whale — soon or maybe I have and am just enjoying the lulz! Captain Ahab doesn’t have shit on me and Eric Miller only borrows the title on weekends. Here was the legal opinion from Altisource and they corrected the fact that they didn’t know they allegedly gave a Letter on behalf of Cheap Suit Jay — they never corrected Cheap Suit Jay or the NAMFS Regime, though, so who is lying?!
Paul,
We have no knowledge of Jay defrauding Contractors. We did receive information that he was behind on his AP and we contacted him and advised him to clean it up and ultimately we have or will audit his accounts. The issue has not been a positive experience for his company with Altisource as it raised our attention and ire. Also, to my knowledge we did not sponsor him (or anyone) to NAMFS. If you find otherwise please send to me.
So, as early as January, 2014, Altisource knew that there were problems. This time frame is critically important. Between November, 2013, and February, 2014, this is the THIRD NAMFS REGIME ORDER MILL that Altisource appears to do their best to keep operational. We have Berghorst Enterprises, now with nearly a TWO MILLION DOLLAR BANKRUPTCY this time as it is her SECOND and Altisource should have known it or did and turned a blind eye. Contractors stalled to the bitter end; we have Buczek Enterprises with HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS owed out and yet still protected — this is vital in that Brian Drain discussed the fact that National Field Network (NFN) defrauded Buczek Enterprises for just north of ONE MILLION DOLLARS. On the NFN bandwagon, we have a lady covering the midwest whom is rumored to be owed well over ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS over an eighteen month period. All this information was made available to Altisource. Brian Drain summed up the NFN situation succinctly, below, with respect to NFN. It is imperative to understand this as Altisource was well aware of the NFN – Buczek Enterprises matter. In fact, Altisource had promised to pay and hire Contractors whom had suffered and never did even though they feigned interest by requesting specific information on several of them. It is starting to sound like Edward Snowden and his Merry Leak of Emails. Here, take a listen to Brian Drain,
Had a conversation with my peers and we can discuss whenever you like. To say we know quite a bit about NFN is an understatement. …
What’s also pathetic here is it looks like NFN is a good guy for “firing us.” It was quite the opposite. NFN had a huge negative impact on our books due to non-payment. Forget slow pay we we talking non pay. …
With Amanda, she held a sales position at NFN because while she was a partner in her own business, we as a company aren’t big enough to support a marketer of Amanda’s caliber. She truly knows everyone and is quite the saleswoman. Attended many conferences, etc., that sort of thing. That being said, IMHO, our company was grossly used to NFN’s benefit.. while it looked like the relationship was beneficial on the surface, it was way skewed towards NFN and once it was clear that the relationship was toxic we exited it Amanda found other employment. The control was and always has been in Shari’s hands. From my technology standpoint, we did a ton of work for NFN that was definitely their responsibility but due to their [lack of] technology we were forced to do it.
With respect to Cheap Suit Jay Goscinski and bearing in mind that Altisource already knew the problems which previously existed based upon the auditing of Cheap Suit Jay, we are right back to square one as Altisource will do everything in its power to ensure that law abiding, professional American Contractors are not given the opportunity to work directly for them. Even when Altisource‘s legal department knew that whomever wrote the National Association of Mortgage Field Service (NAMFS) Regime Newsletter was lying or Cheap Suit Jay was lying, not only did Altisource refuse to address the matter THEY CRANKED UP THE WORK FOR NAMFS REGIME BUDDY CHEAP SUIT JAY! That’s the deal: Contractor drops the ball and BACK BILL CITY! Altisource’s network of thugs and goons dicks a Contractor and they get more work! Yeah, pay the schmucks but NO INTEREST and CUT THEIR WORK!
Mr. Williams,
Were do I start? I was hesitant to complete work for this company [Michigan Realty Solutions LLC] due to the reviews on ripoff report.com. I had a friend that was actually working for this company as an employee, (he has since quit). Bottom line is we have completed work for this company and have not received any payment whatsoever. I found out some of the employees had a criminal record and decided it was time to stop completing contracts for this company. They owe us over [Redacted], and appear to have no intentions on paying us. I have tried over [Redacted] times to get paid. NO LUCK! I contacted altisourc, received a call from them less then a week later (was happily surprised) they informed me that Michigan Realty Solutions informed them they sent a check out prior to [Redacted], and if I do not receive it by [Redacted] to follow up with them. Well I did follow up with them on the [Redacted], spoke with the same lady [Pat McTaggart is my guess] as on original contact, she indicated she would get back with me. Its been 3 days now with nothing. I have been told line after line by these folks (MRS) “checks are being cut, my mom just died, check will be sent out this week, you are an inactive vendor”, and just would like some insight on how I can proceed with attempting to get paid. We are a small boots on the ground company, (we do the work ourselves). I have been doing this type of work for [Redacted] years now. I have contracts with [Redacted], [and] some local brokers. [Redacted]. Based on what I researched I cant even file a mechanics lien. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I want to thank you for what you do. We need a voice. Its my 10 year anniversary tomorrow and I cant take my wife anywhere because these folks have not paid me. Please get back with me. [Redacted].
I have been “CC”ing the Michigan attorneys general office on the emails I sent to MRS trying to get paid. I have not heard back from them yet.
So, Altisource is hiring Order Mills without performing Due Diligence … AGAIN. I mean here we go folks. Hammer the Contractors — when you do allow them to clean the shitters — for background checks and fuck the NAMFS Regime Order Mills. Altisource‘s behavior for the millionth time is beyond the pale of any American Firm whom is held accountable to the laws, rules and regulations of the United States. Oh. my bad, they are based out of Luxembourg with enormous financial backing by Ocwen. I am sure that everyone remembers Ocwen and their less than stellar — that is an understatement — track record. More on point, though, is at what point in time does the State and National Bars step in and begin to question the Canons of Ethics of Counsel(s) involved? Make no mistake whatsoever that connect the dots is a basic endeavor for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
The CFPB Complaint located here is your last opportunity to get paid. While Altisource will tell you one thing through one side of their neck, their recalcitrant behavior displays the truth. Ask Pat McTaggart why the Buczek Six still languish unpaid. Ask McTaggart why she offers work to Contractors and then assigns Portfolios to NAMFS Regime Order Mills in Ohio at the same time while never hiring the very Contractors she engaged. The CFPB will, at minimum, bring to bear the full force and effect of the US Government to properly investigate what appears to me to be a calculated attempt to absolve Altisource of any liability for not performing due diligence upon those NAMFS Regime Order Mills they have and continue to hire knowing full well the ramifications — knowing full well that Contractors are going to be defrauded. I know of several CFPB Complaints filed to date and I additionally know of the millions of dollars that these investigations eventually cost.
It just keeps going and going with Altisource. I mean with the collapse of Berghorst it truly shows the depths to which this Foreign National will go to disenfranchise hard working Americans. On the one hand, Altisource reached out to several Contractors whom serviced the Berghorst Account stating Altisource wanted an accounting of that which Berghorst owed them intimating they were going to make it right and additionally stating Altisource wanted to hire them. Take a guess what happened the next day? Anchor Preservation, a Company which relies upon GoDaddy Templates to run their website, is being awarded the Altisource Portfolio. I mean there is no mistaking the fact that Altisource is doing its best to ensure that a message is sent that these Foreign Nationals will NEVER WORK WITH AMERICAN CONTRACTORS whom are not NAMFS Regime Order Mills. Here, read it in Anchor’s smug words,
We have just been informed that we will be receiving a new REO portfolio from Altisource in all of your areas. I do not know volumes but do know that we have been doing REO work for Altisource for over 4yrs and we love it. You will each need to order mechanical locks from anacondatools.com [about ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS A POP] and should order no less than 6. You should never let your stock get below 3 on hand due to shipping time lines and you never know when you will use 3 in a hurry. If you have an issue in ordering locks by tomorrow, you must let me know the reason and when you will be able to accommodate. REO for Altisource is different as they issue 24hr bi-weekly inspects on a suspected vacant property along with lock change. You have no more than 24hrs to complete so we can update on our end. If this will be an issue, there again I need to know why as we will have to discuss internally about you covering REO. They do not consider weekends as anything different so you may have an inspect and lock issued on Friday that you need to complete either Friday or Saturday. Please keep this in mind. They are quality and on-time driven as far as our work load so we will not tolerate poor scores.
This is the epitome of madness. I cannot emphasize enough that Altisource has made it to the top of the Foreclosurepedia Black List. In fact, Altisource now holds THE NUMBER ONE SLOT ousting Safeguard Properties. Truth be known, I would gladly do work on a ONE HUNDRED DAY WAIT FOR PAY from Safeguard Properties before I even looked at an Altisource Sticker. The likelihood of being paid if you are working for a NAMFS Regime Order Mill performing Altisource services are slim these days. This is not fiction, this is fact. I am here to tell you that from this day forward, I would additionally become concerned about potential visits from CFPB Investigators or, at minimum, the demand for documents from samesaid.
Never in the nearly three years of investigating the Mortgage Field Services Industry have I witnessed such apparent collusion, crossing state lines using electronic means. Time and time and time again I have vainly attempted to work with Altisource‘s Associate General Counsel whose name I still protect out of some sophomoric belief that it is the just and honorable thing to do. I mean help me to understand, Mr. Lawyer, where I have it all wrong. Help me to really, REALLY comprehend how it is that Pat McTaggart interacts with Contractors telling them she is going to pay them on Buczek Enterprises jobs in 30 days and months later they still languish. Help me to understand how precisely it is that McTaggart engages Contractors — you are guilty of this as well — stating Altisource most assuredly wants to do business with them and then hires NAMFS Regime Order Mills with ZERO TECHNOLOGICAL INFRASTRUCTURE guaranteeing the abusive cycle of atrocities will continue for the foreseeable future.
I am sickened by this turn of events at Altisource. Out of everyone I ever interacted with, I really was hopeful that these people were honorable human beings. There is no other way of interpreting the emails I possess from Altisource and their Associate General Counsel nor the emails I have from Contractors sent to them by Pat McTaggart. I am simply no longer surprised by the sheer magnitude of evil which I have become witness to. The recalcitrant behavior exhibited by the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Regime along with Altisource is unparalleled. Even the Sub Prime Crisis had limits; even the gargantuan Financial Institutions knew that there where boundaries. In the case of Altisource, though, their emboldened and brazen attitude is best exemplified by the bravado displayed by William Erbey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ocwen. Ocwen is the quintessential representation of a predator. Their abuse of American Consumers unbridled, has reared its ugly head in how Altisource, today, operates unchallenged in the Mortgage Field Services Industry. If one Company is deserving of an all out Campaign of Complaints registered to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Altisource is the poster child. I both encourage and implore; I beseech each and every victim of NAMFS Regime Order Mills whom performed services on behalf of Altisource to file the CFPB Complaint listed in this link. Foreclosurepedia will offer its assistance, FREE OF CHARGE, in the filing of your documents. Altisource‘s Rein of Terror must end and it MUST END NOW!
Before You Go ...
Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
