Breaking news United States Department of Housing Urban Development (HUD) announced today that it is holding an Industry Day for HUD 3.10, the new Field Service Manager contract. Speculation is heavy with respect to why HUD is holding this Industry Day early; however, in light of Foreclosurepedia’s recent investigative reporting upon Colorado Springs based CWIS, it would appear that HUD is taking no chances.
The purpose of this announcement is to alert potential contractors that the Department of Housing and Urban Development has a requirement for 3.10 Field Service Mangers (FSM). An Industry Day for this requirement will be held on May 12, 2016 at General Services Administration (GSA) Martin Luther King Bldg, 77 Forsyth Street, Atlanta, GA 30303, Time: 10am-12pm. The Industry Day will be followed by a Small Business match making session. The FSM contractors provide property maintenance and preservation services consisting of but not limited to inspecting and securing the properties, performing cosmetic enhancements and providing on going maintenance. A sources sought notice for these requirements will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website prior to this event.
Officials within HUD appear to be receptive to the fact that true small business entities may be welcomed at the table. The debacle which is well documented on current HUD 3.8 offerings is a testament to the fact that the incest associated with All The Usual Suspects simply is not working.
