The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is gunning hard for National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Members in their initial investigations. Safeguard Properties (SGP), the Poster Child for how to do everything wrong and do it on steroids, is first up to bat. One really, REALLY has to ask where the Minister of Propaganda, Terry Platt, is on this? Oh, I am sure that he and Joe Hummel are fast working up a rationale why CFPB is misguided. Perhaps another dose of Platt’s Porn Store Comic Books is all that Contractors need — after all Platt seems to believe that Contractors are not entitled to their money. I will guarantee you one thing: I am the Key Holder. When the files are released, there will be an army of lawyers and accountants fanning out across the United States which rivals ant colonies in Texas!

I was cc’d on this correspondence and the Federal Investigator and I spoke earlier today. This conversation was generated as a direct result of the below communication,
I appreciate your willingness to speak to me regarding Safeguard Properties. I think it would be useful to have the CFPB Enforcement Attorney assigned to this matter participate in any conversation we may have with you. Unfortunately though the Enforcement Attorney is unavailable until next week. Would it be possible to schedule a telephonic interview with you sometime next week? If so, please let me know what date/time would be convenient.

During our initial conversation, I stated that I was willing to turn over all of the files which Foreclosurepedia has compiled with respect to both the investigations and intelligence we have compiled over the past several years. The information, though, would be partially redacted with specificity to certain Confidential Sources. We additionally indicated that it would be a conflict of interest for Foreclosurepedia; myself, to ever take the stand in any proceedings and would invoke reporter’s privilege to protect our Sources.
Normally, this would be simply a by line in the annals of the Mortgage Field Services Industry. With CFPB taking interest, though, I believe we are going to see both rapid and decisive action where warranted. Look, CFPB is not held hostage by Congress in that “…Congress does not control our purse strings[,]” to quote the Federal Investigator. Additionally, the individual I spoke with is seasoned with over a decade with the US Attorney’s Office and additional state level experience. Remember, this is the Federal Investigator and not the attorney whom I am to speak with later next week.
I was impressed with the individual whom I spoke with today. There was neither cockiness nor contempt in their voice. An overall affable personality displayed a genuine sense of interest especially when I began to relate that in one Safeguard Properties case alone, there was alleged to be over $6 Million dollars unpaid. This, coupled with the multitude of documentation which was referred to Senator Bob Corker’s Office; the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (False Claims allegations against Asset Management Specialists (AMS), etc.); Veterans Affairs during the VRM – Carol Boyd fiasco; the Berghorst Enterprises SNAFU; the Buczek Enterprises Fraud-A-Thon and the centralization of the NAMFS Regime will be front and center. We are also going to detail the plethora of information (in)security issues we have identified such as that with McCall Field Services, et al. We are going to discuss the Pay To Play Scheme which the NAMFS Regime has cooked up with Aim Your Way and their demands to enrich the non profit NAMFS Regime by forcing Contractors to pay for their Education. Finally, we are going to bring, front and center, the Mortgage Field Services Industry’s reckless attacks upon myself and others; in violation of our civil rights, by and through the denial of work based upon participating in our First Amendment Rights.
For any Contractor whom ever has or is currently experiencing non payment issues, even if your information has been sent to Commercial Debt Collectors by Foreclosurepedia, you need to contact me NO LATER THAN 14JUN14 (Saturday evening) with a BRIEF Two Paragraph Statement of whom defrauded you. I will make sure it is put in front of the CFPBs Counsel.
Folks, it has been a long and bloody war. Contractors have experienced casualties and collateral damage; however, we are upon the threshold of D Day. Make no mistake whatsoever, those of you whom sit upon the sidelines now will not be able to reap the victory. You will additionally be seen by your fellow Contractors through the lenses of cowardice.
