Littlejohn & Company: Will The Real Littlejohn Please Stand Up

On My Way Down. If You're Looking For Me HMU On My Vegas Book

I usually don’t poke around a lot in the world of private equity and make it public, but then I thought I was getting close to retiring from the Mortgage Field Services Industry to focus on Industry education and organizing. And then, just like that, I have a crew of carpetbaggers who give me reason to turn the radar back on and search for the Bat Signal. For example, Littlejohn & Co. raised $2.84 billion for its sixth private equity fund this past FY. Littlejohn & Co. is a private investment firm that was founded in 1996. The firm is based in Greenwich, Connecticut, but it also has an office in Bridgeport. Littlejohn & Co. focuses on making investments in middle market companies, which are those with annual revenues of between $1000 million and $1 billion. The records are murky, but that is how it goes with private boutiques — they aren’t real Players. Now, I will admit they make a few bucks more than me; however, I have never been too keen on that Ivy League bullshit!

Ladies and gentlemen — and I use those terms loosely — in this corner, weighing in at being a failed lawyer who the Texas Bar removed his license for “Administrative Reasons” and will not expound upon, is Jonathan Dedman Dietz. Dietz is one of those slippery kind of guys, what with all of that climbing the ladder. And having his SMU alumni pal spin up the sale of GIS Field Services INC into GIS Field Services LLC, Service Group LLC, and lest we forget the May Day Revolution with May Summit LLC and Mayborn Capital takeovers, let’s just say that when you shit on parades and not expect people to go to the proverbial mattresses, well, it is apparent that you are way out of your depth.

Nothing pisses off RICO types other than having an unknown come in and start throwing their weight around. And while Littlejohn & Co. goes all the way back to its initial queries of the Industry with those free Amazon gift cards, for taking a survey, the reality is that where the system broke down was allowing Dietz to pilot the blimp with hydrogen. Anyone can snort cocaine off a whore’s ass, it takes a special kind of person to clean up the mess afterword. And unfortunately, Littlejohn & Co. forgot that principle when they came in on their White Horse of conquest.

And then and there, that fusion of bullshit algorithms and conquest created this hybrid nightmare of dystopia. Oh, don’t get me wrong, someone had a really — gee, Jonnie Really — cool pitch deck. Hell, someone, early on, had a Pro Subscription to Canva, and decided to get sold on those margins that only exist on a bookie’s pad in protective custody deep inside the penitentiary. Did I say fortune cookies abound in Gonzo Journalism?!

I torture you, take my hand through the flame. I’m a slave I’m just a sucker for pain! — Suicide Squad

Look, this is going out simply to get the attention of those whom think they control something. I reached out to the companies and lawyers and told them about my opinion of the antitrust issues that we will speak about going forward, that make Verisk look like a joke. Now, I dig they may have their collective mouths full just like Deutch over at NFN during the Involuntary Bankruptcy. And I also dig that when you specifically target, across state lines, using electronic means the removal of legal firms to participate in capitalism and then take that same pattern and practice — modus operandi but my Latin is rusty — you want to make sure you have all of the facts. And as your colleagues will inform you, I don’t have a number to be bought off with. The problem was that this trivial bullshit awoke me from a deep slumber and more on point, it circled wagons with people whom should have never met the Great Satan.

Cheerio, Cheers, or whatever makes you sleep at night because I am awake now and regime change is in season. And for those of you whom believe that you run me, you don’t.

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
