6.2 Million Homes and Counting

Over 6.2 million families have lost their homes to foreclosure since the financial crisis began in September, 2008, according to a report last month from CoreLogic. Before September, the Mortgage Field Services Industry was little more than a by line in the annals of the occupational glossary. Today? The Mortgage Field Services Industry; the National Order Mills whom work the smoke and mirrors, accounts for nearly as much fraud as the the original DocX fiasco. In fact, the robo signing under DocX, like the Memo which FBI agents wrote six years ago pertaining to one of the most massive fraud schemes in history, is not dissimilar to what is going on today in the Industry.

[W]hile many people working at DocX believed the scheme to be fraudulent, according to the memo, none of them questioned the practice for fear of losing their jobs. They were reassured repeatedly that everything was legitimate. Some managers apparently told employees to keep quiet for “the good of the company.” Even the managers professed that they were trying to meet LPS demands and accomplish an impossible task of completing millions of mortgage assignments.

The Industry today is a cesspool for fraud. Even worse, though, is the salient point that previously there were enough trained professionals for the Industry. Today, they are gone. In fact, throughout the Southeast we are experiencing a nightmare of epic proportions. While Labor has always been a matter of fluidity, those processing the work orders should have been a constant. And more on point, when the promotion of Vendor Managers is based upon empty slots and not competency, both the financial institutions and the US Government — the US Taxpayer — loose.

Today, we have firms taking over the portfolios of distant institutions whose financial bottom lines are an abysmal failure. Instead of reaching out directly to Labor to both cut costs — Order Mills are a minimum of TWENTY TO SIXTY PERCENT add ons — and obtain timely and accurate results, we see enormous and catastrophic failures.

It seems that not a day goes by in which Members of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) are not out there, groping in the dark, looking for their dick with a proverbial pair of tweezers. Fact of the matter is that most, if not all NAMFS Order Mills, function on the premise that not a single work order will ever see the inside of a court room. In fact, the term chargeback; a term with NO LEGAL BASIS and goes back years when an Order Mill needs money, is supportive of this — Mortgage Contracting Services (MCS) is going back Five Years and now are Charge Backing on your bids when they don’t match what they want!!! And you know what? It is always All The Usual Suspects.

Time and time again, the epicenter of #Epic Fraud begins with NAMFS and in Florida.

It is ironic when we look back at how many times Eric Miller, the Executive Director of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) has assisted with the facilitation of fraud in my opinion. Take his latest batch down in Texas. Michael Breese is a man whom needs no introduction. Miller virtually crawled on his hands and knees when HomeStar reinvented themselves in Dallas. Lapping from the phallus of fraud, Miller knew — or should have known — that the horrendous fraud which was on going in Minnesota would migrate to Texas. What Miller cared about was his ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR PLUS PER YEAR SALARY WHICH CONSUMES OVER SEVENTY PERCENT OF ALL NAMFS MEMBER DUES. Miller, like a cheap Soho whore, will support anything which enriches he and his family.

I can confirm directly that HomeStar is officially done. Completely. They shut down their office in Dallas and sold all the furniture and computers. According to a recent employee there is not one single employee left at HomeStar and the thief Micheal Breese has now shut it down completely to focus on his sham investment company: PinPoint Equity Group. Labor who are owed money need to file suit IMMEDIATELY. As in: RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!! Otherwise they will risk ever seeing a dime back on what they are owed. First in line now gets paid first when they seize assets in Minnesota. If Breese‘ intentions are to use PPG to pay back his debts at HomeStar this would officially constitute a Ponzi Scheme as he would be using funds from one entity to pay back defrauded entities from another. The industry must prevent this from happening so Labor on PPG jobs aren’t fucked over as well. Again, HomeStar is gone. Dallas office is shut down. Reese sold equipment in that office that could’ve been used to pay back labor for his own gain. He still has an apartment in Dallas but is mainly in Minneapolis running his PPG group. — From an email earlier this month to Foreclosurepedia.

Foreclosurepedia spoke with Galleria Tower Management whom confirmed that HomeStar and PinPoint Equity Group had simply vanished and were no longer tenets at their still reported address. Their phones have been cut off and as is the hallmark of those close to Eric Miller, a wake of destroyed lives and injured children are all that are left.

I am here to tell you something and Eric Miller may attempt to sue me again and personally I do not care. At some point we are going to cross a point of no return. What we are witnessing within the African American Community; the assassination of 5 police officers in Dallas, is going to come to the Mortgage Field Services Industry. We are going to see a body count. And when the first one happens, it is going to open a flood gate. Oh, they will parade Miller out like some two bit, backwoods southern preacher to call for calm, but it will do no good. Miller and Breese are well known to each other and that begins to cross a line and that is the problem with the perpetual cycle of fraud underneath Miller’s watchful eye. Make no mistake that the roosters are going to come home to roost. And when they do, as they most assuredly will, I want to see the BATF on corpse removal for those clean outs.

The reality is that there is nothing new under the sun. Companies spin down and reincarnate into other firms. We will have a large piece out on the Michael Breese collapse tonight on the Foreclosurepedia Podcast.

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
