Facebook Supporting FastTrack Bill

Facebook and those on it present a duality in my world. First, if I have an intel op I want to mount, I start with Facebook for a half dozen reasons — 5 of the 6 are identical to CIAs rationale. Fore the first time in the history of mankind, a person with technological knowhow has the ability to track the thoughts, dreams, aspirations, fears, significant others, and habits of 1/5th of all mankind — yes, that includes bff’s as well. 😉 In years past, intelligence agencies were hard pressed to put 24 hour surveillance on more than a handful of people. Today, we are capable of bringing the six degrees of separation down to one degree.

Mark Zuckerberg, for all of his fame and glory; Randi Jayne the former mouthpiece included, is misanthropic in how he utilizes the power of Facebook. As the U.S. Congress is hurtling toward a vote on a “Fast Track” bill that would speed the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) into law. The TPP is a secret agreement that contains extreme copyright provisions that endanger Internet freedom.

Just when you thought Facebook couldn’t get any worse

Thousands of tech companies, from tiny startups to well loved sites like reddit and Tumblr, oppose this anti-democratic and anti-Internet Fast Track legislation, but Facebook is supporting it. Why? Maybe it’s because secretive trade agreements like the TPP grant giant corporations like Facebook new power to influence policy around the world, and privilege the largest companies at the expense of innovation and freedom of expression. Facebook can afford an army of lawyers and lobbyists to ensure that their interests are protected under the TPP’s draconian new Internet policies, but average Internet users, startups, and political activists can’t. Facebook is supporting censorship, stifling competition, and helping governments break the Internet, just to make a few extra bucks. This time they’ve gone too far.

For those of you in the Mortgage Field Services Industry whom use Facebook I want to thank you and I really mean that. It makes my life far easier to predict and deduce where you are; what you think; whom you like and dislike. It allows me to know how you will react to any given stimuli. Without Facebook, I would be hard pressed to ensure that at any minute of any day I was capable of creating #Ops against you and your ilk.

For the rest of you whom have had the wisdom to become untethered from Zuckerberg’s Draconian and nefarious web, let’s /\/\337 Ph0R 4 b33R.

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
