At a time when the height of the grass cutting season is just gearing up one would think that the Mortgage Field Services Industry would be interested in keeping its dwindling Labor pool safe. As reported yesterday, the total number of Craigslist property preservation ads dropped from 12,200 to 4,700 this year. Florida, as usual, is Ground Zero for all the Nation’s ills.
There are 42 cases of the Zika virus in Miami-Dade alone with the first case reported in Pinellas County (Tampa Bay) today. Zika is a virus which mosquitos initially transmit to people and may be passed via vaginal, anal or oral sex.
The mosquito-borne virus has been linked to microcephaly, a medical condition that causes babies to be born with abnormally small heads and other severe brain defects.
You know, it takes but a few seconds to send an alert out to Labor to tell them to simply apply some repellent and be cautious around standing water, but fact of the matter is that for all of the billions of dollars which National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Members rake in not a single Alert has been issued. NAMFS itself, the Industry’s Trade Association has yet to issue any instructions to its Members nor the Industry as a whole.
