Victor Deutch: Anatomy of Shari Nott’s Fixer in the NFN Bankruptcy

Victor Deutch and the NFN Bankruptcy

For years, New Jersey based lawyer, Victor Deutch, served as the personal fixer for Shari Nott, the CEO of National Field Network (NFN). Through veiled threats and intimidation of Labor, Deutch amassed a fortune for himself and Nott. It was like a scene out of The Godfather how Deutch would force Labor to take pennies on the dollar for services rendered. It was one of the largest thefts in the history of our Industry and played out under the watchful eye of Deutch and his now defunct law firm Deutch & Associates (D&A). In fact, Deutch was an active middleman participating in a well oiled machine funneling cash from NFN directly to Nott. NFN transferred the amount of $588,414.99 to D&A on October 10, 2012. The funds were thereafter used for Nott, individually, to purchase the real property located at 3 Abis Place, West Long Branch, New Jersey. It was the first of many nefarious transfers which we will begin to do a deeper dive on over the coming days. In the meantime, here is the filing by the Trustee against Deutch.

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
