Safeguard Properties Shuts Down Servers For 4 Days

As if Foreclosurepedia had telepathically tapped into the Mortgage Field Services Industry, word broke today that Safeguard Properties (SGP) is shutting down their servers for nearly 4 straight and continuous days. Michelle Hoskins sent out the following email announcing that all of SGPs Vendor Web would be down and additionally that the Safeguard Properties Call Center would be down as well.

Good Afternoon Vendors,

Beginning this coming Friday night July 24th at 6:00 PM, through Monday July 27th at 6 AM,  vendor web will be unavailable. IT will be performing multiple changes to Vendor Web.

Please make sure that you are working to complete and update your work orders before the scheduled outage.

In addition to the scheduled maintenance the SACC department will be closed on Saturday July 25th and Sunday July 26th.  SACC will be available on Monday July 27th  to take your calls.

Coming on the heels of firing over twenty percent of all Safeguard Properties employees and in the face of a One Million Dollar settlement decree with the Illinois Attorney General for screwing over homeowners, the reality is that the Enterprise Vendor Management Platform (EVMP) which Foreclosurepedia has been rolling out for several National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Members. The EVMP is based, in part, upon some of the same technology which Goldman Sachs uses as discussed in this interview with Goldman Sachs Co Director of Technology.

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
