Eric Miller: You Cannot Trust Contractors

Eric Miller, Executive Director of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS) Regime, recently placed every Member of the NAMFS Regime square in the cross hairs with his Comments over on Huffington Post. Now, let’s remember here is the Captain of the Titanic whom is being PAID OVER ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR; NEARLY SEVENTY PERCENT OF ALL NAMFS REGIME MEMBER DUES, and has tacitly implied that NO BACKGROUND CHECKS HAVE EVER BEEN CONDUCTED. Here, read his words he spewed out to Captain Save A Banker Ben Hallman,

“The intent is to give communities a high level of confidence that the people walking around in homes are not going to cause problems,” said Eric Miller, the executive director of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services, the trade association that helped design the new standards.

Look, Team NAMFS which Hallman is most assuredly a member of — with or without pay is to be determined — is suggesting that since the inception of the Mortgage Field Services Industry there have been no background checks. I mean we are talking decades! Even more on point, Miller is stating that the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are guilty of dereliction of duty in that NAMFS is insinuating Federal Contractors are not properly vetted. Dangerous words in dangerous times. Whereas I opine upon my Blog, Miller is speaking under the mantle of his authority as Executive Director. Specifically, Miller is stating that each and every Company whom has ever worked in the Mortgage Field Services Industry were not to be trusted.

I want to break this down so that the Freshman Lawyer’s Guild understands precisely how Miller’s Statement is a testament to where we go on Round Eighteen. Miller, under color of his office, stated to a credentialed news outlet that, “The intent is to give communities a high level of confidence … [.]” This legally implies that all “…people walking around in homes…” have been suspect in “… cause[ing] problems[.]”

Let me tell you something Miller, I take that personally. You are stating that I am a criminal; that the Community was less confident when I was on the properties. You have impinged upon the good name of each and every Contractor whom has ever laid foot inside of a foreclosed property including the now deceased John Ward whom was the guiding force of NAMFS. That is true irony: Miller, whom has never worked in the Field now appoints himself as Judge and Jury. Just out of curiosity Miller, were the Realtors exempted? Are Realtors suspect if they do not enrich you and Wells Fargo?! How about Robert Klein? He has walked around in the properties. So, specifically are you stating that Klein was suspected of causing problems and that the community should not have had a high level of confidence about him?

That is your quandary, Miller. If you say, “Oh, no. Robert Klein is fine,” then is it because he is a Jew and I am suspect because I do not worship his god? More on point, is this a targeting, perhaps, of African Americans or Hispanics? You and Hallman really, really should have thought this through Miller.

Hallman painted this target squarely upon his back. I mean here you have an alleged journalist whom has the apparent ability to understand his own hypocrisy. He recently told the story of telling his daughter No when she asked for an Elmo toy. The Article entitled Apparently, I Love Beer More Than My Own Daughter, opined it was apparently was ok for him to spend inordinate amounts of money on alcohol and deny his own daughter a piece of her childhood. I believe they have treatment programs for this type of behavior, Ben. As we all know, the path of an alcoholic begins with early warning signs and generally ends tragically for everyone except the alcoholic. Just sayin’ Ben.

Hallman is the quintessential example of why those with underlying agendas probably should not be taken seriously by the American Public. Huffington Post‘s obvious Anti Labor Position has flowed eloquently through Hallman’s keyboard since he initially spoke with me a year ago. Doing everything in his power to twist and spin the facts that I placed at his disposal, his Drive By Media mentality has not changed since his upstart days at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Where is your fact checking Hallman? You, whom helped me track down Mathis and Lambert and their businesses! Background checks galore there! So, where is your quantified evidence to support your new pal NAMFS Regime Executive Director Eric Miller? Nowhere Benny. Nothing new there, either. Your indictment of Labor while SPECIFICALLY AVOIDING ANY MENTION OF MANAGEMENT’S EMPLOYMENT OF FELONS OR DEFRAUDING CONTRACTORS are a testament of the lengths to which Hallman will go to in an attempt to white wash the NAMFS Regime and Big Banking!

Miller and Hallman are two peas in a pod. Hallman’s innuendo that I am a criminal will prove to be his undoing. His false promises to Contractors whom were falsely promised legitimate coverage in exchange for their Statements show the true depths of his depravity and shallow ethics. Moreover, when people like Hallman cast their pathetic nets hoping to bump a few more ads for their AOL Masters, it shows precisely the character slant of the Huffington Post. Sad, really, as the Publication used to stand for the ideals of the Democrats. Now, we see the true ability of money to corrupt.

Miller and Hallman; this is the best America has to offer? Two over-the-hill men whom seem to have chips on their shoulders against Labor? Two men whom work, in concert, to destroy America’s blue collared workers? Pathetic if you ask me. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that Interview. Quivering lips; beads of sweat; clammy palms; rapid heart rate … Yeah, the rush over the thought of breaking the back of Labor.

The reality is that Hallman would sell his own daughter if it meant an additional Like or Share as I see it. Just like the NAMFS Regime in how they live off the backs of Labor, so Hallman lives off family friends to partially foot the bill for his daughter’s college — “…my daughter does have a separate college savings account funded by a family friend.” Contractors would do well to flood his Article with their opinion with respect to his vulgarity in the tacit implication that Labor is the only offending party in this nightmare.

Ben, you picked the wrong Contractor to imply criminality against. While the rest of the Weekend Hacks out there will cower, I will call you out for precisely what you and Miller are.

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
