The InspectorADE Deal with GIS Field Services Labor Should Study

Was It A Typo That Gave GIS Field Services The Ability To Offer Discounts From InpsectorADE?

This morning, I received an email pertaining to extremely disturbing information about Jon Dietz, President of GIS Field Services, and InspectorADE. The fact of the matter is that the payoffs we never see is the slight of hand that allow these operators to function with impunity. The reduction in price stated by Dietz to a large middleman are the equivalent of tens of thousands of dollars per month in savings if taken at a national level. As you will read later, this was attributed to unknowns, typos, and everything else under the sun. This revolving door of pushing the blame everywhere except where it belongs must come to an end. In the real world, this would tend to be considered collusion and price fixing. This defense of Industry offenders like GIS Field Services and those whom support GIS, like InspectorADE is abominable, and these offenders must have their money spigots turned off. To say that InspectorADE is not familiar with the Dietz’s departure from the NAMFS Board and the inordinate amount of violations claimed against him by the NAMFS Board would be the understatement of the year.

For far too long, software providers have been able to stay above the fray by being paid off at two levels. First, there is the price paid for the work order and then there is the secondary price paid for Labor to access the already created work order issued by Management. The kicker here is that for any reason whatsoever, if Management tells the software gatekeeper that they want Labor cut off from access — boom, it’s a done deal!

While InspectorADE, EZInspections and Verisk all try to play down their collusion when it comes to committing questionable behavior across state lines, using electronic means, and in the furtherance of artifices and schemes, the reality is that a first year law student could connect the dots while doing keg stands. Even more blatant, though, is the sharing of all Aspen Grove Contractor data with the companies whom request it. This was one of the things that a NAMFS Board Officer brought up to me, in emails, that was most disconcerting. It would also appear to be the very same reason why ZVN Properties is doing their best in order to gain unfettered access to the NAMFS Board like they did back during the David Dolan days when they controlled the Membership Committee.

Part of the argument to be made is that InspectorADE does not own the copyrighted photos that are currently being held for ransom based upon the whim of a middleman. A simple perusal of copyright law pertaining to photographs — first established in 1865 by Congress and ratified by the US Supreme court in 1884 to last as long as the creator’s lifespan plus 70 years — would have advised them the legal argument is there. Moreover, though, if a software provider like InspectorADE wants to argue that it was a typo which alleges the extreme discount given to GIS Field Services, then they should not have gone through half an hour of banter and only made that comment after being advised that the individual was Dietz.

While it is water under the bridge, the reality is that Foreclosurepedia has a formidable intelligence network and those giving safe haven to GIS Field Services will always receive that special 15 minutes of fame they are so seeking.

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
