Alpine Companies Takes Over North and South Carolina

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded North and South Carolina to Alpine Companies thus realigning the Management and Marketing (M&M) Field Service Manager (FSM) 3.10 contract away from Purdy Enterprise. Foreclosurepedia had the opportunity to speak with Alpine Companies founder and CEO, April Cooper, last night, whom had this to say,

We are looking forward to working with many of the original Purdy Enterprise’s subcontractors, going forward, as well as new subcontractors whom would like an opportunity to perform upon a HUD contract.

Alpine Companies currently performs services throughout Georgia for HUD upon the M&M FSM 3.10 as well as the HUD M&M Asset Manager (AM) contract in Illinois. To date, the only other firm to have realignment of awards has been PK Management whom took over for Innotion Enterprises and Best Assets in the mother lode potentially topping out at nearly $60 million in total contract awards.

A senior HUD administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated the following with respect to the current bridge contracts in play and the release of solicitation for both the HUD M&M AM 3.9 and the FSM 3.12 contracts,

[W]e’re still required to determine fair and reasonable pricing on bridge contracts.  In fact, in a sole-source environment contractors are required to provide more information than they would in a competitive environment. Sole-source awards require the evaluation of certified cost and pricing data. Basically, contractors are required to provide their actual costs, overheads and proposed profit and certify under penalty of law that the information is accurate.  We also have historical competitive pricing from which to compare.  These are the mechanisms we use to keep the sole-source pricing in check.

Based on current schedules, the AM 3.9 is expected to be released first, and that will likely be in June. The FSM 3.12 is expected to follow in July.

We encourage the Foreclosurepedia Nation, whom are located in North and South Carolina, to reach out directly to Alpine Companies at the email address below, to begin their onboarding process. We also recommend our colleagues at the International Association of Field Service Technicians (IAFST) do the same!

Before You Go ...

Foreclosurepedia exists because readers, workers, and advocates understand that protecting Labor in the mortgage field services industry requires independence, persistence, and resources. We do not answer to servicers, hedge funds, or corporate trade groups; our accountability is to the Field Service Technicians, Inspectors and administrative personnel whose livelihoods are too often treated as expendable. Donations are what allow us to investigate quietly buried contract changes, expose abusive labor practices, and publish work that would otherwise never see the light of day. Every contribution helps keep our reporting free from industry pressure and focused squarely on defending labor standards, fair pay, and basic dignity in the foreclosure ecosystem. If you believe this work matters, your support is not symbolic—it is the reason Foreclosurepedia can continue to stand between Labor and a system that routinely exploits it.
